TSF offers participative projects for older groups of amateur actors, including rehrearsal and performance, workshops on theatre games, physicality, presence and play.
Most recently we have produced Broken Pieces - a play for a large cast of around 15 older actors, which toured libraries in Northumberland in Autumn 2019. Performed by Théâtre Sans Frontières in association with Queen's Hall Adult Drama Group.
Broken Pieces was commissioned originally for the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA), Elders Theatre Company in 2014. This was the play’s North East premiere and is supported by the Northumberland Cultural Fund.
We have also worked with our adult group on specially devised theatre pieces looking at eg. older experience of heating, damp, condensation in homes and how to deal with fuel poerty.. This was supported by Dept of Health & Wellbeing, Northumbria University.
